I have been told that my account has been locked after one login and no alerts via email or text message for any other reason.  Its now telling me I need to reset my password.  I go through the motions and it gets to the point where I'm supposed to choose email or phone...and will ONLY allow phone (what happens if my phone is broken?).  I get the alert via my phone, it only gives me the options "view details" and "dismiss"...regardless of what I click it brings me back into the login page.  It does this over and over and over again.    Come on!!!  I was looking to purchase a new phone through the company but now it sounds a lot like they're losing a customer.  Especially since it appears, based on other community posts, that this has been an ongoing issue and Verizon doesn't seem to give a hoot about it.

We're sorry to hear that you're having problems logging into your My Verizon. We want to make sure you're able to access your account to make your purchase or make any changes you need to make. Are you currently traveling out of the country? Are you using a VPN?
