I have switched from one phone service to Verizon. The deal consisted of (2 Ea) Iphone 14 Plus along with (2 Ea) watches. My wife does not like the new phone (Iphone 14 Plus) and asked me to switch back to her old phone (Iphone 6S) I am not canceling any lines. When I went into the Verizon store, I was informed in order to make the switch, I had to pay off the phone. My question is "Shouldn't I still receive the monthly phone rebate ? I was told I would not. This does not make sense to me, can someone please explain Verizon's logic. Or can Verizon jump in and correct the situation.
Respectfully

I am past the 30 days, I understand I cannot return the phone and I accept that. What I do not understand is why I had to pay the phone in full to switch to another model that I own outright. I was not returning the phone, nor was I canceling anything.
Please explain .
Thank You
