Our Experience

My husband and I have had the worst experience with Verizon these past few months.  I can’t find where to post a review and I saw someone people do it here so I want to share my experience. I myself have been a customer at Verizon for years under my sisters plan so I thought Verizon was great, I recommend my husband and his whole family to switch over and open their own plan which they did however that was the worst mistake… Verizon was having a promotion where if you switch over you get an iPhone on them which was great and his family took advantage of that. They mailed to the phone to us and when we received the package it was empty iPhone box’s with no phone!! Apparently fedex has been stealing a lot of phones, this is where everything went down hill for Verizon by how they handled this whole situation. Once we had got the stolen phone situation resolved we had to reorder phones again however when we spoke to the costumer service representative our whole plan was changing, our bill was going up over $100 and extra lines needed to be added to the plan in order to reorder the phone and the promotions we were promised were changing which was all so frustrating because none of what happened was our fault, after arguing about the prices and promos we got it back down to a somewhat similar price but it still went up . When they reordered the phone we ask for them to be shipped with ups instead because of his issue and they said it was no problem. A few days later we got a package for FEDEX, and to no surprise it was empty.. I was super mad and I called Verizon spoke to a representative and they told me this whole time we could have gone to pick up the phones in store but when we asked the past reps they told us it wasn’t an option… we were livid. After we finally got our phones thinking everything was resolved it was indeed not, everything got so much worse. I had to spend ours on the phone with Verizon, calls went up to almost 5 hours and I can’t even track how many times I had to call. The 3 extra lines one of the reps had us add to reorder the phones was so hard to remove and only to find out by one of the reps who actually helped us fix everything we never had to add those lines it was just “the easy way out instead of actually fixing the issue”…. Because of those lines added the right promotions were not added to the actual phones on our line and they were charging us for those 3 extra lines so our bill was over $1000. It took them almost 2 months and many and I mean MANY different representatives to fix this issue with our plan. Over a month has past since then and we thought everything was resolved but it sure wasn’t… I looked at our bill and they are charging us $1400 for 5 lines. When I called they said it’s because we opted into the buy out for a phone… we never did and we shouldn’t be paying for any phones because of the promotion. It turns out they are charging us for one of the phones we NEVER received. They are billing us for a line that was disconnected because that phone was stolen. They also never refunded us for the taxes we had to pay for shipping the phone to us. I am extremely mad and frustrated with Verizon and I truly think this experience is unfair and ridiculous. I have had to spend hours on the phone, talk to some rude reps, and be transferred around to different people just for this situation not to be resolved months later. I either need this issue solved or I would need to talk to a manager about leaving. This is ridiculous.
