Please Unlock My Phone

I am traveling in Europe and would like to add an e-Sim. I can't as my phone is currently locked as I bought it in late April and the 60 day policy remains in effect.  This was not clearly disclosed to me, as I would have otherwise purchased it form the more honest and straightforward apple store. I will never buy a phone from Verizon again due to this ill-concieved policy. Great way to alienate long-time customers.
