Removal of old account to add new Fios account

I have spent over an hour with Verizon on their chat just to separate an old account and add a new one.  Why is this such a difficult task.  Not to mention I have been transferred 3 different times and still no help. Please help!!

Why dont you have a simple button in the app to unlink accounts and add a new one.  Is that so hard for your customers?

And why not post the directions for all to see.  I am sure there are others who are having the same problem.
