SIM LOCKED

I have had my device for over a year, and it still shows carrier lock: sim locked. why is this? i don't know what to do???

Sorry to hear your phone remains locked.  If you've been using the phone on Verizon continuously all this time, my guesses are:

-The phone was purchased somewhere other than Verizon.  This can cause problems with unlocking because the purchase wasn't tied to your Verizon account.

-You are not the original owner of the phone.

Has someone at Verizon submitted a SIM Lock Appeal for you?  You need plenty of proof of purchase.
