I ordered a new cell phone on 10/24. It was 'delivered' by FedEx on 10/27. When I was handed the box it was lighter than expected and clearly had been retaped--the driver told me the package did not require signature, so I assumed that the package I was handed was not my phone and perhaps I had been sent a return box for my trade in.
When I opened the package there was packing paper, an invoice, a quick start guide, and an empty phone box. Over the past several days I have spent about 12 hours on the phone with Verizon customer support who keep assuring me I will have an answer within 24 hours. (Then told I keep getting misinformation, but not to worry because this time they are 'really' escalating ticket.) We are unable to open a claim with Verizon as that needs to originate with the sender. I am also filing a police report and a purchase protection claim with my credit card holders.
Based on this forum, people have had a lot of run around and taken a month to have these issues resolved. Has anyone had this issue successfully resolved in a shorter time frame? I don't have the time to spend 2 hours on the phone every day during normal business hours.
