Suspending the device for the vacation, but the page won't let me

Hello, I am on vacation in Korea for 3 months starting from June 15 until September 18. I realized I forgot to suspend my services for the vacation, so I am trying to suspend my service while I am in Korea, but both the verizon app and verizon website won't let me suspend my device. On the app, it keeps telling me 'We can't process your request right now.' And on website, it keeps telling me 'Error: We're having trouble connecting to MyV Prepay. Please try again later.' Even when I try to access the support page on website, it keeps telling me 'We're sorry. We are unable to process your request at this time.'

How can I suspend my devices? Thanks.

If your concern is more about paying the phone bill while away from the US, unfortunately you still have to pay the bill regardless.  Suspending your device is to prevent fraudulent use of your phone when it's been lost or stolen, but does not cancel your service, so you will still be getting billed.

You mentioned you couldn't access the prepaid website.  For us prepaid customers, if we don't pay our bill every month, the service gets cancelled.  I've read somewhere in these forums that after 45 days, a telephone number is up for grabs to be recycled, so unless you don't care about losing your number, would make sure you keep renewing your monthly plan by going to the one time bill pay site if you don't have autopay.
