Transfer Service

You are attempting to assume a line(s) from an account that has the same SSN/tax ID as the new account. Lines can only be transferred to an account with a different SSN/tax ID.

I'm trying to transfer multiple services to my brother’s account but I’m getting the error message above. I called and talked to a customer service and transfer service agent, and they said that there’s a current issue that’s no allowing the transfer that started recently and for me to wait a week. Checked other threads on Verizon forum here and this seems to be an issue that’s others had from previous years too. I don’t know if this is an actual issue that reappeared within the last few weeks or I’m just getting lied to.

I don't think it's you.  There is another thread or 2 which are new mentioning the same issue, so I think it's an IT issue which Verizon is working on.
