I am trying to open my own line to get off of my parents line with verizon. I was told at the store it is all done online and they do not help with that anymore. I am stuck on creating a pin because I get a repetitive error message stating, "We are experiencing a problem while connecting you to the server. Please try again later." It does not matter how much time I give it to try again later I get the same message every time.

We're sorry to hear that you're having problems you're having with your transfer. We don't want you to have any problems, and we'd be happy to help. Are you trying to do this on the My Verizon app or the website? Have you tried clearing cookies/cache or using a different browser or device?

Hi, are you trying to transfer your line to your own Verizon account away from your parents' Verizon account, or are you trying to port your line out of Verizon to another carrier? If you wish to port away from Verizon, the Account Owner has to authorize the port out, so whomever is in charge of the family account has to get the transfer PIN for you to go elsewhere.
If you are staying with Verizon but simply moving your line to your own account, nothing I've seen about the process involves getting a transfer PIN. See the link below for more details; the Account Owner must still authorize a transfer of service:

I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
