Verification using email for verizonwireless

I am the person who pays our Verizon wireless invoice.  I get an email notification when it is ready to view.  The only phone number is for my husband's cell (mine is associated with a business account). I used to be able to verify my identity by having a code sent to my email. Now, the only option is to send my husband a text (which is very inconvenient, especially when I am out of the country).   I have reported this multiple times for over 3 months and have been told that it would be fixed, but it isn't.   How can I get verified by email?
