Verizon 5G Home Internet $200 Gift Card

I switched to the Verizon 5G home Internet  on November 2023.

After the 60 days I got an email from Verizon which said that in order to claim the Verizon Home Internet $200 Verizon Gift Card, I simply do the following;

  1. Sign in to your "My Verizon" account.
  2. Find the “Exclusive Home offers” tile under "Make the most of your plans" and click it to get started.
  3. Choose your desired offer and follow the prompts to redeem.
  4. Enjoy your offer.

Well, guess what, I did just that but the "Exclusive Home offers" tile does not exists. I have since spoken to 3 different Verizon Reps via Chat and they assured me that they'll send me the proper link . One even told me that he'll send me the link within 24 hours but I never received that link.

I have received 3 different emails saying the same thing with the same above directions. Still the tile is not there and I'm unable to claim the gift card. The latest email tells me that "time is running out and have 7 days left to redeem the offer".

I saved the "Chats" with the different Verizon reps for proof of my attempts.

Please help me before time runs out on march 10th, 2024!

Someone said they used a computer to login to their account and then the tiles in question were there.  Webpages can vary between app versions and computer versions.

So, on Jan 1st 2024, I initially chatted an "Agent" told him about the above. I was assured the problem will be corrected and would show up on my next bill. It didn't.

Then on Feb 2nd, 2024, I once again chatted with another agent named Olivia. She also assured me it would be escalated and it will show on my next bill. It didn't.

So, on March 8th, 2024, I then chatted with Joseph via this Community. Not only would he correct the problem but I would receive a $333 gift card within 4 weeks followed by an email within 24 hours letting me know the problem was taken care of. Guess what, no, nope, nada, nothing.

So here we are. Now I wait to see what other promises and/or guarantees I will hear. If any.

Have you gotten any resolution as of today?

Your situation is exactly like mine and is still ongoing.  And I mean exactly as in we switched to the Verizon 5G home Internet in November 2023 and have been going thru all the steps you have. 

02/16/2024 I chatted for the same reason you did - the tile not showing up in the app. The agent assured me that they got it fixed and I would be receiving my $200 gift card. Nothing.

04/20/2024 - I spoke with Khombo who advised that she would escalate this, and I should have resolution within 5 days. Nothing.

05/01/2024 - I spoke with Peter, who supposedly has been with Verizon for 19 years and assured me that he knew what he was doing and would get this fixed. He advised me that there was a known system error issue and that they had a resource advising them that everyone affected by it would now receive a $300 gift card for the inconvenience.  I should have mine within 3-4 weeks. Nothing.

06/12/2024 I spoke with Joel who promised that he would personally follow up with me.  He reconfirmed that there was a system error for customers who added internet during that timeframe, and they were now going to receive a $333 credit.  He verified all my info and advised that he was creating an escalated follow-up case and I should hear back within 3-5 business days. I would either receive a redemption code via email or the credit would be applied directly to my account. 

06/19/2024 - I received a text advising that my gift card promotion had been approved and to allow 4-6 weeks for the card to be received and I thought this fiasco was finally resolved.  But........here we are 8 weeks later, and I have received nothing.  

I am VERY disappointed in Verizon for this. We have been with them for many, many years, have added services and always paid on time.  I have spent a great deal of my personal time trying to claim what was promised to me.  Now, I am taking to the internet to voice my grievance and spread the word.

I’m still waiting as well. Was told it would be mailed to me, never happened. Was told a few months ago it would be credited to my account, never happened. This also happened with the Verizon Home Security program, received nothing. The ‘tile’ never showed up for me on the iPhone app or home pc. I’ve been with Verizon for 14 years and still seem to pay more and get less than anyone I know.

I have been going thru the same issue. I was promised a $200 gift card to switch my internet service to Verizon. To date I have not received the card. I reached out today and the response I got from customer no-service was that I don't have 5g internet. It is on my bill and has been for months. I am really tired of this horrible customer service. I have been promised that the problem was resolved and I still have not received the gift card.

I was about to switch my internet to Spectrum but instead opted for the upgrade to qualify for the $200 gift card back in June.  Here we are about to hit August and I still have yet to receive any email regarding promo codes/rebate code. I tried reaching out to Verizon’s chat but was told the offer doesn’t exist with my account and there’s nothing they can do about it.  Does that mean this was just a ruse?  If the offer didn’t exist then I would’ve just switched providers.  Anyone else having this issue??

Has anyone figured this issue out. I have been in chat after chat about my $200 gift card and no one has helped. What they have said is I would get an email but that has never come. And, then they said it would impact my bill which it shouldn't. I've screenshotted everything and at this point I'm wondering about Verizon and their promotions.  I started this process on June and I really feel like a bill credit is also owed. Just as good gesture.

I had the same issue. Back in December 2023, I signed up for the home internet with $200 promo. After the purchase and activation... it was silence. No email or link to redeem/register for the gift card. Contacted multiple "agents" and no one seems to know about the promo. Some even copy and paste the promo policy into the chat. We were basically going in circles every time I contact them. It got to the point where it was just going to be a wasted time for me and everyone else so they end up manually send me a link to redeem a $50. I laughed and cancelled the service and return the modem. 

Here we are again... September 2024. Same issue. Same poop... different day and agents. I thought this issue would have been taken care of by now. But oh well... needless to say, I will be cancelling the service again.
