Verizon sign in not working on Samsung.com account to purchase phone

I am trying to purchase a Samsung phone online via Work promotion through Perks at Work. This takes me to Samsung.com where I added phone I want to purchase. Upon checkout it asks for Verizon credentials which I enter correctly but get error saying the following:

You have tried to login with an account type which is not supported on Samsung.com Please contact Verizon at 877-375-9357 for received error - CustomerTypeNotSupported

How can I process this order for Pre-order of Samsung 24 Ultra with the employee discount offer (only valid for 12 more days)?!
