Im going to quit Verizon because of the guy that I met in FlatIron Crossing Colorado branch.
I switched from AT&T to Verizon about 5 months ago. Actually I was glad price and service that verizon served to me but I just wondered new phone deals and came here on July 1 Saturday. Salesperson and I began negotiating phone deals. Everything was fine until I signed the contract. They told me that they will give me a student discount and the $60 I paid for my prepaid account yesterday as a discount on accessories. They said that the Samsung S22, which they initially called 'on us' , is $25 per month. When I said let's see another model, they said that the Google Pixel, which they said 'on us' again , was $ 9 a month. Since I spent 2 hours there instead of leaving the shop, I accepted the Google Pixel and signed the contract. After signing the contract everything started to change in a funny way. The discount of $60 that I can use for accessories was subject to conditions and although I said that I did not have an e-mail address for the student discount, I was told that it was mandatory to have an student e-mail address. Then I stated that I did not want the phone anymore because I felt that I had been scaammed, that I wanted to cancel everything and return to the prepaid account.Upon this, the salesperson triumphantly stated that I had signed the contract and that if I canceled I had to pay for the phone, I would not be able to switch to the prepaid account again and I would not be able to take advantage of any phone deals again.I had a hard time talking because of my anger at what I heard and was subjected to racist jokes by the salesperson. Embarrassing for verizon they give job opportunities to people like this. I bought the phone to avoid a fight and left.Later, in my conversation with Verizon customer service, I learned that the bill I was told to pay was 87$ per month, and that it was 108$.
I guess these people thought I was stupid because I'm a foreigner but I'm going to return the phone and quit verizon tomorrow.
Edit (Thu, Jul 6 ) : Victra Guest Relations Team reached and offered me $29 off which is funny. Other than that, no one even informed me about the invoice I was going to pay. I think no one cares about the issue.
