fraud dept wont help me

I just decided to switch to Verizon from Tmobile. I have a trial (1 month) service going on now and decided to order my new phone through then app. I order it and get a confirmation email, had to go through credit dept on the phone to get set up and verified.. said it be here in two days. next day I Geta email saying for it to ship oi needed to prove my identity ? I go to do that the link is expired so I call the number provided to have me verified. the guy I got was RUDE off the bat and asked my social, put me on hold came back and said the social I provided initially didn't match the one I gave him over the phone  I needed to send in a picture of my social. I said no hung up and called support. they proceeded to confirm this and said some one else was the account. holder of our business account and I wasn't authorized to do anything ?!?! I never had a abuisness account. panicked I get shuffled between various dept and half the people I got on the phone with were to say the least incompetent and I had to go over all this over n over. I get emails asking me to provide proof  of my identity so as asked I send in a photo of my state id  a screen shot of my face and proof of residency after also giving my social. I get on the phone with the only amazing person there Dusty, and he confirms this isn't normal and some how my social has two names under it and tries to help me replace my order and get things handled. he has to transfer me to fraud dept, I get on the phone with someone over seas, and off the BAT they say with the information provided we are not able to disclose any details regarding this account or its owners n some other stuff. the down right frustrating infuriating part is when I ask how do I correct this then they just repeat themselves , I ask who do I talk too were do I go ? what else could I have provided to better prove my identity ? they just reaped themselves over n over again and then hang up. I call back and get transferred over to them again and again they do the same thing!  I left Tmobile because of the unauthorized  and without knowledge block they pace on any calls coming in from prisons preventing me and many others from receiving phone calls from our ;loved ones plus a few other issues. up to this point everyone I had spoke to were kind and helpful and assured me switching was easy and I was good to go. this wasn't a issue then days prior.now I'm at risk of no service and no one there will help me . the id thief gets a nice account. I know I need to go to the irsd and social sec dept and plan on connecting police filling na report even tho idk who this is and v erizopn wouldn't tell, plus if I can't. get help from Verizon probably go to there BBB and file complaints. anyone know how to fix this or where to go or ask? anyone have similar problems? cuz this is supposed rot be americas best and ive been treated like I'm nothing and with such cold a disrespectful reps and dept supervisors (except dusty).

If it truly is a case of identify theft, I'd do an online search for "identity theft" as there is at least one government-run website available to help people through the process of straightening things out.  It's pretty complex and can take months to resolve, so wishing you the best of luck.
