I am trying to help a person transfer his number to a different service. I am trying to do it from my computer. I understand security precautions and have all his info to sign into his account.
Every time I try to sign in it was to verify. He is across town, and it is somewhat difficult because I do not have his phone in my hand. I even had to go through the process on my own computer to get into my account online. That was frustrating enough. Security of no, I should be able to sign into my account anywhere without the phone. Basically, can i sign into an account w/o Verizon sending me a link on the phone? Frustrated enough to want to transfer my own service. No wonder he, and others with him couldn't figure it out. There should be security sure, but not this much trouble. To add to that I just barely got into my account, saying I did not have sufficient privileges for this resource or parent. Makes me more aggravated, hopefully this will go out.

BRUCEFL56 we are sorry to read that your friend is looking to set up different service outside of Verizon, but I'm sure they are very thankful for the help you are providing them. It sounds like your friend may have two-factor authentication set up on their account which would require an additional layer of security in order to validate the account and gain access online or when contacting us. For more details about two-factor authentication, please see the link below.
