Why does it switch from 4G to 1G when making or receiving calls. Works of 4G but the moment I answer or make a call it goes to 1G thru the duration of the call. When I hang up it goes back to 4G. I have a Galaxy Note 5 and never had this issue with my Galaxy S5. I have had this phone for a week now and it'seems doing the same to my boyfriends phone. I am at home on Wi-Fi and my network it's good.

You will need VoLTE activated to make 4g LTE calls. Not sure if your phone is VoLTE capable?
All calls will go through the 1x network otherwise.

Your phone may need an update. Customer service will have to add the feature to your phone. Give em a call.

See if in Settings, you have an option for "Advanced Calling" present. This will enable VoLTE if you've got a Verizon branded phone. The option being mentioned above is if you see a checkbox for "Enhanced LTE Services," which is the VoLTE function in itself. To activate that, even when checked, visit MyVerizon and add the Advanced Calling feature to your line. Reboot the phone a few minutes after to ensure it receives the new provisioning information.

Gillotti, we want for you to be able to enjoy the stellar service. The Galaxy Note 5 is an amazing device that is able to stay on 4G when Advanced Calling is turned on in the settings. Here are more details http://vz.to/24yVmdu.

lfrandle815, I recommend you check your phone settings to show you are set for HD Voice or voice over LTE. If you are, try turning it off and see if you are getting the same response. I have included a link below to help you check this setting.
