Just received a new phone to upgrade a current phone on our of lines. Was told today by customer service, after following ALL the instructions, that with the newer phones, there’s a 24 hour delay/transaction is pending before the cell service will be turned on. This is a GIANT load of garbage. There’s nothing in the purchase process that says, btw once you get the phone in hand, you don’t get to use it for a day - nothing to be done, that’s just the way it is ... Verizon used to have decent customer service and now it’s just garbage

That doesn't make any sense. Unless something was stuck in switch or the activation was scheduled for another day, it does not take 24 hours for new activations. Activations take closer to 3 - 5 minutes on average.
Sounds like there was a system issue somewhere and the rep lied acting like this is normal.

I am so sorry to hear of any issues with using your data on your device. What happens when you try to use your data? Are you seeing LTE or 5G on the device? Are you using the SIM Card provided with the phone or your old SIM Card? AlbertoR_VZW
