Was at Davio's Boston Seaport last night and had 2 bars of 4G indoors but at the window), after picking up a co-worker in Cambridge (Huron Village) and had similar results. We even did a reset on the devices to see if the signal may improve. My friend is leaving VZ after we couldn't connect at the dinner table and he noted consistent issues in Cambridge. I actually pulled him to VZ after always touting the network so I feel responsible. And I know he has issues in Cambridge as I hear it in work calls so I don't disagree with him at this point. VZ's success truly IS in the network; when that fails there's a T-Mobile and AT&T around the corner. If there are any other tips I should try to improve signal (Android 5G device) I'm open to trying them and referring them to my friend. Thx.

Hey WatchingVZW, I too rely on my device to be reliable wherever my journey takes me, just like you and your friend. The number of bars is not always indicative of a service issue though. You mentioned getting 2 bars while at a restaurant in Cambridge. I see you stated you could not connect, what happened when you tried to access the internet? Did you experience any issues with calls or texting? How far from the restaurant did you travel before service improved?

Nope, sorry for the misunderstanding. I was in two separate locations. One was in the Boston Seaport district and the other was in Cambridge MA. When in the Boston Seaport I was indoors and when in Cambridge I was outdoors. Yesterday I was back at Boston Seaport and had similar poor performance near Moakley Courthouse, both with voice and data. Also was then unable to use my hotspot. I did notice that it improved outside for internet. However I would not expect poor performance close to windows, so maybe this is the Achilles heel of 5G. Also I have 16 years work experience with Verizon in ordering and provisioning, and over 20 as a customer so we all know the difference when it works well and when it just doesn't. This performance is not what I expect from Verizon. To be completely transparent, I was at an opposite end of the Boston Seaport last night and had no issues indoors using the service. It is specifically over near the piers and mostly Courthouse that seem to have the biggest connectivity issues. The other incident in Cambridge has been something I've noticed within the past 3 years. My buddy and I consistently get garbles, drops or dead space. Huron Village- Appleton St/Huron Ave area.

I have similar issues to coverage. I just moved over a couple of lines/iphones from T-Mobile but we have encountered coverage issues precisely in the metro locations where T-Mobile worked flawlessly. I am puzzled because I thought we were switching to the better network with Verizon so I would like to figure out if there is something on our phones we need to do differently in settings etc.
Examples of coverage issues in the last 10 days since we switched over to VZ:
a. Everett MA (where my wife works) is very poor; inbound and outbound calls effected. She is in healthcare so the phone service HAS to be reliable in Everett. She is in the same building/offices for work as she was before we switched to Verizon.
b. In parts of Cambridge/Arlington/Belmont with intermittent data. It will sometimes indicate 5GUW but I can't get any site to connect or email will hang even with 2 bars showing on the phone(s).
Have tried re-setting the network on both iphones but it has not shown any improvement. What else can we try?

I looked at that link but it was specifically for iPhone 14. I have an iPhone 13 Pro and my wife is using an iPhone 10; both have actual SIM cards in them. Both are updated to latest IOS revisions 16+

Thanks Freddy!
I have used the trouble shooting guide on the Iphone 13. Interesting that the bars dropped from 3 to 2 when I stepped through even though I was static.
My wife's phone coverage at work is more critical than mine. She is on vacation for a few days so until she is back in the office we won't know if the trouble shooting guide worked. I will update here next week. If there is no improvement then I may need to request direct help from you or one of your other specialists. Thanks.
