Hi
When I call my home land line that has caller ID it show up as a city name and it's not even the city I have my verizon account in.
I live in Yakima and the caller ID shows as Ellensburg (on my home land linecaller ID) which is 30 miles away.
Is there a way to fix this?
Why doesn't it show my number? or at least the City I'm really in ?
Thanks
Geri

Could be that location is the city the cell tower is located in that is handling your call. What determines what is displayed for caller ID info on your home phone would be determined by your home phone service provider and settings.

The name of the city & state will depend upon the first six digits of your mobile phone number. For example, if the first six digits are (617) 423...then...landline phones with Caller ID name & number would show MASSACHUSETTS or BOSTON MA even if the phone was physically in Boston MA, Tampa FL or Los Angeles CA.
