Can't call 800 numbers. New phone 5G

Got new Pixel 7 to replace Pixel 2. Problems: could not send text photos and could not call any 800 numbers.
Solution: tech support did something to fix text photos via phone call to them. A couple of days later I couldn't call 800s including Verizon . A text chat w Verizon service and they "synced" my service and instructed me for a be specific reset in settings for wifi-mobile-bluetooth.
