Can’t contact International Tech Support

I am overseas and had the known issue of not being able to place outbound calls. I was able to place calls to US using +1 but then suddenly I could not. I prepaid for the Travel Pass.  The Messaging team was a waste of time, giving answers in circles. I cannot reach the International team outside of business hours, which they don’t state what they are in the outgoing message. For the international team, should it not be 24 HOURS?? Why only during business hours based on the U.S. time zone? I still haven’t gotten my issue resolved. No chat mechanism for this team. I’m waiting half the day for them open the customer service. I was basically stranded for a short time. Really archaic for a multi-national cellular company. Also I called a friend in the U.S. to call them to call me and I never got a call back. C’mon Verizon, this is basic. Please fix this.

Correction, they did call me directly but said they would escalate and would call me they next morning but I never got a follow up call. I had to borrow a friend’s phone to contact them because I never got a call back. The first CSR I talked to was nice and helpful. Never heard back from Tier 2.

I too am appalled at Verizon's so called "International Hotline" which doesn't allow one to speak with a live agent outside of normal business hours, which they do not state in their message. It's nonsense to claim they have support only during the U.S.A. business hours. Which time zone? For seven days I've been trying to reach them due to my lack of any cellular coverage here in New Zealand on a business trip. No texts, no calls, no data, despite my having a so called Ultimate Unlimited Global New Zealand plan for the past year. I'm appalled.

Did you check that roaming is enabled on your phone?  If you're using an iPhone, you might also need to change the band selection settings.  5G is very spotty in New Zealand based upon what the coverage map says - it's mostly 4G, and there are parts of the country with no service at all (or else whomever's out there doesn't have an interconnection agreement with Verizon).

Thank you for your message.  Yes, roaming is on and yes I'm on 4G and I'm in Auckland, the largest city.
