Can't get a pin more than 3 times per 24 hours...

Why in the world am I not allowed to use my own account if I have access and get locked out for a full 24 hours? Not even an hour but a full 24 hours?? Might as well make it 24 weeks?

Can't complete a purchase anymore because of this. Relax this 3 in 24 stupidity and make the window an hour at least.

There are many factors that go into protecting the security of your account. You can make a lot of changes online, so we need to make sure your account is secure. Depending on changes made or resets, you may have to wait the 24 hours. There will be a time that you can access your account as much as you want and will not be limited as long as there are not too many changes.

I agree with having Great Security measures, but 24hrs is ridiculous.  I think the company needs to reevaluate this and make a change down to at least 8hrs.  Highly frustrating when you are trying to get a replacement phone and get locked out without any warning and then a notice advising you exceeded the maximum pin requests of three within a 24hr period.  And then you call customer service and nobody can look at your account and verify there is no fraud and over ride this pin rule.

This is absolutely ridiculous. I logged in tonight twice to my Verizon account to look at new plans with my husband as we want to do the iPhone 16 preorder, once on my phone too look and then on my laptop as my phone was dying and we wanted to change the plan. That was 2 PINs. 

I then set up the pre-order for me in the AM on Apple. That's the third PIN. But now guess what, I can't pre-order my husbands phone because we can't log into Verizon through Apple for 24 hours. So he will likely lose out on his pre-order. 

I am a 20 year Verizon customer and guess what, I am looking at other carriers tonight. It's absolutely ridiculous that I can't access my own account when I want to access it.
