Hello, I am using a Verizon SIM with an unlocked phone (Oneplus Nord 2T, if it matters) - ie a phone that I did not buy through Verizon. I have not been able to make or receive normal phone calls since putting the SIM in this new device. However, I can text just fine, and mobile data works just fine.
Today, I went to a Verizon store and the representative told me that it is IMPOSSIBLE for my phone to make or receive calls through Verizon, because it is an unsupported device!
I've never heard of such a thing before, and think it is just a plot to sell me a new device. I looked through this troubleshooting page and there was no mention of such a restriction. I'd think there would be, this seems like an important deal.
Is it true that my phone cannot use Verizon for calls? If this is untrue, how can I restore this capability to the phone?
It's not an account issue (number worked fine on previous device), it's not a signal issue, it's not an issue with the other person's phone, and my phone isn't in airplane mode...
