Cell Booster with 5 bars but garbled reception

We  have barely 1-2 bars of cell signal at home and we purchased a Verizon ASK-SFE116 home signal booster which gives us 5 bars of signal strength on our phones but we have a  very hard time clearly hearing incoming phone calls, the called can hear us fine but we can barely understand what they are saying.  I have a Samsung S24+ any suggestion on how to improve this situation?

From what you're describing, the phone isn't quite using the signal booster just right.  I couldn't find any troubleshooting guide on Verizon's website when I just looked now for the booster, unfortunately.  On my Samsung phone, there is an option under Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Network Extenders.  Have you checked to make sure the booster is showing up on your phone's settings?  The only other thing I can suggest is to look up the troubleshooting guide for the S24.  Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond, my S24+ when using your procedures  responds with " Error while searching for networks".

I tried  restarting the cell booster, modem, and phone. I beginning to think it's my phone or possibly my Laptop with Windows 11 sharing phone resources.

Thanks again for trying to help, any other suggestions are always welcome.

Be Well!

You're welcome.  If the phone is showing an error when looking for the signal booster, this means it is not hooked up to the booster correctly.  Have you tried using a search engine to see if anything comes up on troubleshooting?

Surprised nobody at Verizon has joined the thread yet...
