Cell coverage and Service

Verizon seems to be getting worse with their coverage and signal. My phone is 5G and I pay for that service. But most of the time it says it is in 4G or not at all and is constantly dropping calls, or echoing my own voice back to me when I am speaking to someone. It doesn't matter what state I'm in or where I'm at. The signal will show all bars and 5G and instantly changes and go to crud. This is becoming a constant problem.  I've gone into Verizon on numerous occasions and they have done nothing.  I've spent hours in store, an average of 1-2, even 3 hours... being told they will send me a phone or a booster and nothing.

When I go back to find out why, they claim it wasn't ordered or they ran out or some other excuse. Always some excuse. But still. Nothing is being done. I pay $80 per line for 5G play more do more. But never seems to be 5G and constantly having issues. Lately can't even make calls unless I'm using wifi calling.  It's ridiculous.

I've been a customer since 2003 and seriously thinking about changing carriers now. After all these years.

Hopefully your issue got resolved by now, but I wouldn't place any money on that.

I've been a Verizon customer for over 30 years and I do believe there is something going on with these 5G towers or  could it be the other carriers have access to Verizon Towers?   All I  know that for over a year now, I have had all those issues you  spoke about.  With all the countless hours that I have wasted with Tech Support I think I could be certified  as a Verizon Tech Leve 2 expert.   Technical support has blamed the phone (s)  a number of times.  The more expensive phone- and/or coverage they switch me to,   the more more problems I have.  I won't even let tech support touch my phone anymore, because something else goes wrong and 1 associate will blame the other.

I love the fact that that every phone call you make it's prompted that the phone call will be recorded for training purposes.  Notes?  .....I'm convinced that they don't even keep....I could go on and on.  as I'm sure this is true for any of the Cell phone carriers...in fact,  These so called Technical support Peeps...most likely answer phone calls from all carriers, hence - they are all bad.

I just tried the Verizon Chat....which after 45 minutes into ,  I was finally authenticated and still no answer to my question.  During that time period 2 of my daughters had to text me "call me" because I'm not getting every call, and I'm sitting right there with my phone right next to me.  This is not the first nor the last time this has happened, we have just learned to adjust.

By trade, I'm a problem solver..... I work remotely so I need my phone for work and more importantly if one of my children  is calling  (Thank God no emergencies)

I'll be making a post regarding cell boosters, vs extenders, do they work? Are they  the same?   I squirreled and saw your post, and had to reply.

Seriously, I hope your issues were resolved, this is so frustrating and to think that some of us spend almost $4,000 a year for poor service is very upsetting.

I pay almost four hundred dollars a month for two free iPhones that I can never upgrade unless I pay for the free phone. The service is not great at all. Letโ€™s not talk about how expensive the insurance is. I thought AT&T was expensive but found out quickly that I would have been better staying with them. Canโ€™t wait until contract is up.

Unfortunately, I have nine phones with Verizon and I am terribly disappointed! The service is infinitely worse than it has ever been and seems to be getting worse by the day. I am definitely considering switching all nine lines to AT&T, which has better service. This is getting ridiculous

Hello Jaquanta, we're sorry to learn you're having issues with your service. Where are you currently located? When did these issues begin? Is it with calls, data, text or all of the above?

Same here! Just spent an hour on and off my phone trying to resolve my dropped calls due to connectivity issues.   I did find out Verizon had my previous address from 15 months ago and was using that tower!    I physically changed the address once I moved but apparently per Joy the rep "there are many #'s that need to be updated".   How would one know that??????? Then I was sent a link to update my address.    The link did NOT work.    Joy said she would call me back in 5 min.    She did not.    I am missing important calls from family in both NC and Florida right now, the hardest hit areas due to the hurricanes.    I have had a potential employer tell me I needed a solid reliable phone to communicate since this was a remote position that required the ability to make phone calls!!    At my wits end and considering switching to a different provider!

We're so sorry to hear that you're having problems with your service, and we don't want this to be an ongoing problem. We're going to make sure we do everything we can to help you. I wanted to clear up some confusion that we might have caused.

Your cell service is not impacted by the address on your account. Your service is mobile and you shouldn't run into any issues even if you travel outside of your home area. Your cell phone will automatically connect to the nearest or strongest towers available. The only time where the address would come into play is with our 5G Home Internet or LTE Home Internet.

We also recommend some troubleshooting as a way to get your service working. You can find the best troubleshooting options for your phone using this link: https://www.verizon.com/support/devices/#mobile Just find your phone, click "Troubleshoot" and select the issue that most closely matches your problems. Please let us know if you contineu to have problems.
