Cell phone reception in Brunswick Forest Leland, NC

This issue has been raised before.  Now Leland city council has approved additional cell towers in Leland, NC but Verizon has not put one up.  There are 3000+ homes in my subdivision and all are trying to use an old tower for the signal.  I can only be on a call in my home if I am sitting at the middle chair at my kitchen island.  If I'm driving into my subdivision, my call drops due to a dead zone....in a huge subdivision!!  Verizon, please put up a cell tower quickly. There is great need.

Regarding future network infrastructure, Verizon Wireless radio frequency (RF) engineers and system performance engineers regularly evaluate network coverage and performance to identify locations that may require additional coverage. Based on their analyses and recommendations, cell site construction or other improvements are then planned and budgeted accordingly. Verizon Wireless' specific network expansion plans, locations, and timetables are considered proprietary and confidential. We appreciate your patience and comprehension with this matter.

Leland and Wilmington NC are huge up & coming retirement areas with a large influx of families coming in daily. Vast communities are being built annually. We've been Verizon customers for decades and hope to continue as customers, however, Verizon's capabilities in these towns are sub-par not allowing for high speed internet abilities (ie: video work). The competition has apparently surpassed Verizon in their services & quality. Please... do the same, especially in this weather sensitive area.

Hey there, aveegeek, we know how important it is to have service you can rely on! Are you currently running into issues with your wireless service? If so, can you tell us more about what's going on? When did this issue start?

Please read through all of the above comments. This is not a new problem but it is one that can be resolved by giving us a cell tower. You are welcome to come to my house to try and make a call so you can experience it  first hand.

Do you know if AT&T put up a tower? They were supposed to be working on it last spring. I, too, am looking to change providers.
