I've been a Verizon customer for over 23 years. I initially chose Verizon, despite being more expensive, because I could get coverage in more remote areas than any other cell phone besides AT&T.
Lately (2025 ?) I have no coverage in those same areas, yet friends with T-Mobile have service. I'm done. Who has good experience with remote coverage in Oregon/Washington?

Sorry to hear your service has declined so much in recent years. There are a lot of factors which can reduce signal strength, including but not limited to: more traffic on the towers now, landscape features (hills, mountains, bodies of water, dense forests) interfering with signal reception, and increasing push to 5G service causing radio waves to not travel as far.
I don't live in/travel to that part of the country, so can't say anything about how the other guys perform there, but if your neighbors/friends who are there are reporting better coverage with someone else, might be time to port. All the big carriers offer a free trial period if your phone is unlocked and dual SIM/eSIM capable.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
