My husband and are going to have to file chapter 13 bankruptcy. What will happen to my VZW account if I have a past due balance? Can I keep paying the current charges and keep my phones/tablets active or not?

If you keep paying, your services will continue to be active.
Does this also apply if we are on device payments??
It looks like your intention is to file so you need to keep paying your VZW account. You can't just decide to stop paying an expect to add your account in the bankruptcy.
