Charged for Device Returned

I upgraded to the iPhone 16 pro max and traded in my iPhone 14 Pro Max. After 1 or 2 normal bill cycles I just got charged the full amount on a phone I didn’t keep and no longer have. Tracking confirmed it was received. I’ve never had this problem before in the 5-10 years of doing this. Has anyone else experienced this?

We want to be on the same page. You are getting charged not returning the Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max, correct? Was this a trade-in or early upgrade return?

Hi Gilbert.
Yes I was charged for not returning the iPhone 14 Max Pro. Which I did and UPS tracking confirms this. I paid the early upgrade fee and returned the device. I then was charged for the remaining device amount also on the last bill. If I knew I had to pay the full device amount I would of kept device

Yes! I am currently struggling with this issue. I've had 2 people tell me it was received and now someone telling me it wasn't. I will not be paying this charge. I even turned off auto pay until this is resolved.
