Connectivity Issues

We’ve been told by our local Verizon store that the towers have been down in our area causing  significant connectivity issues. When will this be resolved? Why haven’t we been notified directly?  Will there be a reimbursement? 

I’m trying to understand the process and how to get notified about these types of things.
