Data Remaining Text Message Different from MyVerizon

I received a text message saying that I have 10% of my data remaining for the month (verizon prepaid plan). However, the MyVerizon app says that I have 60% of my data remaining. Why is there a difference between these two numbers? It's unnecessarily stressful!
