Data Restriction????

I have an iPhone Pro Max 13, but this problem started on my 12 Pro Max.  On certain games that I engage in, I used to receive incentives to watch adds which would result in free letters in word games, free tokens to upgrade cars in racing games games.  I am a Verizon customer and would like to stay with them however, my wife is a T-Mobile customer using a 12 Pro Max and I can take her phone and mine side-by-side same game, and receive the incentives from T-mobile and not from Verizon.  I have tried everything I can think of in settings to no avail.  I suspect Verizon is up to something trying to save a nickel in bandwidth (if I am wrong, my most humble apologies to Verizon).  Has anyone else experienced this?  Thanks
