Data usage?

I just checked my Verizon Wireless account to check to see if my payment went through for the month, and I saw that I had 3.5 MB of data usage just yesterday at 6:20 PM. The description for this was "PAYGO DATA ENH MEDIA PHN" is this just a general description? During this time period I was at work and the entire time the phone was in my pocket, it seems that this 3.5 MB occured without my knowledge, can I refute this data usage? I don't even know what I downloaded, or if I did anything but sit on a browser page. Any help would be very much appreciated!

Thanks!

P.S. - I have the LG enV Touch

Same thing happened to me yesterday.  Also have Env touch.

I was watching TV, and my phone just started up, and configuring an app without touching it.  Luckily I was able to cancel it quickly, but I still incurred a data charge.  I am going to call and have it removed, but that is almost not the point.  I plan on asking what the hell this charge code is, but I bet don't get a straight answer

Call Verizon Customer Support and report this issue.  You may not get the charges reversed because they want the money, but you can and should put a block on Get It Now and web application

This happened to me also.... I called verizon and they did refund the charge and in your case I'm sure they would refund it since it's only 3.5MBs. Also while your on the phone ask them to put block on EVERYTHING that uses data, and make sure to check at MyVerizon if they actually did it, if not, you can do it yourself.

If you block data usuage does this mean you cannot receive video and pictures messages if you are on

a text message plan?

Verizon can block all data without blocking MMS messaging. Just make sure you ask them to.

Very frustrating! Do you have any applications or games on your phone that you might have used recently? Some games and apps use data when you're playing or searching. Check under the Media Center on your phone and delete any games/apps you don't use. Apps like VZW Tones use data when you're searching/previewing ringtones or ringback tones, even if you don't purchase any.

If that isn't the problem, then contact customer service and they will work with you to come up with the best data blocking options.
