Device certification

I have a new device I purchased 3rd party I would like to use to replace my current device. When, i  put my sim card from my current phone into the new phone, it will show Verizon network available, but will not connect. So I figured its either because I need an updated SIM card or more likely (because the online checker doesn't recognize the MEID or IMEI) is that it isn't "Verizon 4G-Lte certified". Or both. If its just a SIM issue, I'm sure that's a pretty easy remedy - I just need to get a new SIM from verizon. If its a certification issue, how does a person get Verizon to certify, a non-certified, device? Thanks

All the specifications I have found online for this device tells me it was NOT designed to work on the Verizon Wireless network. There is no band 13 700 MHz frequency nor is there an CDMA radios. It is a non starter for the Verizon Wireless network. It will not work now or in the future.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.
