What number are you dialing (replace last seven with x's)? Are you dialing from a stored contact?

We definitely want to make sure that you are properly informed about any messages appearing on your device while making calls. Please tell us, are you currently located outside the United States? Is your device connected to Wi-Fi? Are you trying to call a contact on your device?~Geo

Mine does this all the time. Basic local numbers or others within my state. To be honest, I just ignore it and proceed through it as normal without issue. So far my bill isn't effected by doing this. If my bill did go up, I would quickly challenge or completely drop Verizon.

Are you dialing 1+number? If not, it could be the dialer on your phone recognizes the first digits as an international country code and alerts you it might be an international call. If you don't dial + before it, it should stay domestic on the Verizon network. What make/model phone do you have?
@BmHlW what make/model phone do you have that has this issue?
