Direct carrier billing ineligible

I've been trying to direct carrier bill in Google play but it is not letting me.

 

I've done this in the past with no issues.  

I try to choose enable and it says sending verification to Verizon then fails each time saying my account isn't eligible and to contact carrier.

Cleared cache, checked with Google support and they said it's a Verizon issue but Verizon says they can't find an issue.

My account is and always has been in good standing.

No blocks.

Happens with WiFi and cellular

Happens for anything I try to direct bill to Verizon

Not using a new phone

All my settings on my Verizon and Google account are correct.

 

Can someone please help??  I'm trying to get a subscription billed to my Verizon and I do not want the separate monthly charge on my card or to use any other method of payment.

 

I just want my direct carrier billing to work.

I checked everything.  Spoke with several Verizon support reps who couldn't help me.  Even checked with Google play and they confirmed they cannot fix the issue because it is in Verizon's side.

I am having the 100% exact same issue. Also spoke with 2 (very nice) Verizon specialists, who checked and made sure everything was correct on my end and it was. So then I spoke with 2 Google specialists whom were also very nice but here I am with no answers. Been a Verizon customer for 23 years, and can't complain about the customer service. I'm alos very knowledgeable when it comes to cell phones and I've literally tried everything so I guess oh well, right??

I have the same problem and been speaking with many reps about this issue. and i meet all the requirments for this by reading all the FAQs so im not sure why mine isnt working. account is good googl eaccount is good its all up to date. i just get the same error everytime i try to add carrier billing in the googl eapp store.

Adam77777, making sure you have the ability to use carrier billing is important. I regret that you're having problems. What exact error message do you get when you try to use carrier billing? Can you please walk me through the exact steps you are doing to purchase the app/game with carrier billing?  AliciaD_VZW

Did you ever figure out why it wasn't working. I have been non stop on the phone and texting support with Verizon and google. I'm so frustrated!

Update on my original post, it was never resolved.  I had an S8 at the time and no one through Verizon was able to resolve the issue.  I ended up getting a new phone, s10e and there was no issue on my new phone.  I guess I'll never know why I had the problem to begin with.  It's unfortunate.

Why is carrier billing not an option for new Mexico accounts?

I am sorry for any inconvenience as we want to see you enjoy the service. The government regulations in New Mexcio are stricter than other states and do prevent these billing practices. YaleK_VZW
