I am buying an iPhone 14 on the Apple store. A disclaimer says "If you have a legacy unlimited data plan and you continue with your upgrade, you will lose unlimited data and will be put on a 2 GB plan for $30/month plus all applicable fees, charges and taxes. Upgrade and Line Access Fee not included." How can I avoid losing unlimited? How do I know if I have a legacy unlimited data plan?

I know I would be cautious to not lose my plan when trying to upgrade as well, MyCell2024. We would be happy to help answer this question, but we will need account access to review your plan. Please be on the lookout for a private note from us.
