Does Verizon care about loyal very long term customers, or that they have no service?

The short answer is nope. I may have set a record for being a Verizon (and predecessors) customer for a consecutive 31 years and 4 months. Does Verizon care- it would appear that they do not. Not even for bragging rights over T-Mobile or AT&T. Verizon does NOT work in my house anymore and hasn't for two years. It does not work in my yard outside anymore. When they shut-down 3G, they lost my home, my place of work, and their 4G LTE doesn't get a dot on my phone screen. Lack of 3G made my CPAP machine useless on reporting. Dinky signal of -115dbm, yes, negative one-hundred-fifteen as confirmed by their tech. I tried to explain my plight in store for one hour. He wrote a technical request ticket, and gave me a link to "talk" to a tech -via Chat- and for 90 minutes, and the tech confirmed the lack of signal, but "it doesn't show that poor on their coverage maps", or so he said. After 90 minutes of trying things, he simply disappeared = gone. Then a woman introduced herself on 'chat' for TWO hours and could not get anything to improve my signal, in-fact, her trying to get a signal booster to work actually DE-activated it and made thing worse. At least the so-called booster being de-activated got rid of the 'robot sound' my callers complained about. I could not hear the robot sound, but my callers did and shutting OFF the 4GLTE 'booster' restored the ability to talk, but ONLY by using my paid-for Wi-Fi. Long and short- no signal, and they don't care. Another neighbor fiercley got in their face, and then they finally admitted it is a dead zone for 12 City Blocks in a city of 300,000 people. I have been trying since May of 2022 to get them to do something to recognize the lack of signal. Now it is the end of October 2023 and still nothing. So, on November 1st, I am hoping that they will ALLOW me to PORT my numbers of 31 years on over to Mint/T-Mobile. If they don't, that would be worse than the sins already committed. In short, I've paid way too much for too many years as the signal has gone from okay to ziltch in just the past few years, and I would have nothing at all if it weren't for Wi-Fi calling- but what if I don't have Wi-Fi and I would actually like to use my phone data? "Negatory on that BigBen". I have data rates under 2 MBPS down and under 0.15 MBPS up - not enough to run Facebook on my phone. Verizon, you had a good thing going with Alltel, should have left the 3G in place so I could at least make phone calls. So folks, leave when you can, don't be stupid as me thinking that the coverage at home or at work would actually be corrected, or that they would believe the signal level on 3 different phones did not improve. Again, I hope that they don't give me a hard time porting over my 4 lines . Anyone else have any suggestions on how to make the move easier and keep your numbers without delay or losing MY numbers?

Hi- wow came to this forum to see if I was the only one who feels that Verizon no longer cares about loyal customers. We haven't been with them as long as you have (only 13 years for us) however to hear your encounter it shows me that obviously customer service NO LONGER EXIST! I feel like they know we have limited choices and they can do what they want. The customer needs us we do NOT need them attitude. Thanks for sharing your experience- I just wanted to know if I was the only one with issues/ hardships and Verizon responded the way they have.

I have been a customer for well over 20 years. Customer loyalty means nothing to them apparently. A $140 a month bill is ridiculous. And I have to wait a year for my contract to be up. I have unlimited data…which I told them I don’t need. I only use about 30GB a month. Any input would be helpful on how to get out of this.

Hi Matt7883. Wow, 20 years! So much has changed over time. That includes technology and how we depend on our phones and network when we need them. We do want you to have the very best. I am sending you a private message so we can work together to make sure you have the best plan not only to meet your needs but also your budget.
