Dropped calls, loss of signal strength during calls

For years I have enjoyed good service with Verizon wireless, but in the last month or so I have had numerous dropped calls and will experience periods of signal loss and garbled reception during calls. This happens from various locations that I have had no problems with in the past. This happens with not just my phone but with all the other phones on my plan also. Again there have been no problems in the past but is now a big problem. I have accepting all of my updates on the phone. Is there a reason for this and will it be corrected? Thank you.

Does not look like it has been solved but we have 2 newer iPhone xs and before we could talk the whole 45 min commute...now we have to call back about 6 times. Service/signal strength is so bad we cannot use directions half the time or make a call with confidence. It use to be I could only use Verizon at home now it is every 5 word I hear even with WiFi bc our WiFi is terrible, but the only option we have. I could pay a lot less elsewhere for the way service has worked the last few months. I figured maybe the 5G coming might have been the issue but it is officially old!! If not figured out soon I will find another phone service provider u!!!!

I am having the same exact issue, as well as all my friends and family.

For years we have had great service... there was one spot on my drive home where I would loose calls, but that was it.. it was always just that one spot.

For the last few months we have been dropping calls and have had calls cut in and out all over the place.

During that same 40 minute drive home from work, where I would only loose calls in one spot, I now loose calls of have calls cut out 6-9 times in random areas.

Everyone on my plan wants to switch cell companies... I'm the only one holding out in hopes that it gets better.

We all have different versions of the iPhone.. I think a coworker that is also having issues has an android.

This happens in the zip codes: 15108, 16033, 16066, 16001, 16003, 16045, 15275, 16052, 16137, 16127 and 16046 just to name some of them.

I can definitely sense and relate to your urgency in gaining back a strong signal for calls and LTE access. I am definitely here to provide a long-lasting solution. I understand that you are in the NYC area. Please use the link to run a speed test and share your screenshot with me here: http://spr.ly/6582D7kkr

Please fill me with how frequent your calls are muffled and garbled.

How many miles from the 10006, 10065, 10023, and 10022 zip code do you have to travel for service to improve? When did the issue first begin?

I am in NYC, mostly in 10006, 10065, 10023, 10022, etc and have CONSISTENTLY been losing LTE/4G whenever I make or receive a call. It also takes a significant amount of time to regain LTE. No location or setting improves/worsens it. It's New York City, so it definitely can't be about cell towers. I had such better service on AT&T and regret changing. Calls are extremely muffled, garbled, and only occasionally improves.

Phone: iPhone 6, not calling Wi-Fi. See above for locations.

joadflor, this is definitely concerning! Can you tell us what steps have you taken to attempt and correct this issue?

Calls - I've updated carrier settings, Turned off Wi-Fi calling. I've tried moving around in my work and home to see if it was localized to a part of the building. However, this is a consistent issue.

Dropped LTE in general/on day to day: Not sure what steps I could correct this, as it's not something of my fault.

joadflor, the details and proactive troubleshooting steps that you have taken are appreciated. I recognize challenges in service can be difficult and I want to ensure that we're able to explore all our options to improve your service. I was not able to find alerts for the zip codes you provided. Since you had mentioned that you had ported from AT&T and you have an iPhone 6, can you confirm if your iPhone 6 is an AT&T or Verizon model? Looking forward to hearing back.

Thank you for clarifying, Joadflor. Is your current device up to date software-wise? What is the current software your device is using?

This happened before and after updating to Apple iOS 11.4.1 and all appropriate updates as of last week.

That's good to hear, Joadflor! Have you attempted a Network Settings Reset? This would cause your device to reestablish its connection to our cellular network. This can be done following these steps:

> Go to Settings

> Tap General

> Tap Reset

> Tap Reset Network Settings

> If prompted, enter your Password

> Tap Reset Network Settings

Once that's done, your phone will restart, and reconnect to our network. Please keep in mind, that this will not delete any of your personal information or data, but may erase any saved Wi-Fi Networks or Bluetooth Accessories.

I have the same issue as well with my account, I commute 70 miles everyday and my call quality was always great.... until I switched from 16gb to unlimited. Now I have terrible call quality and dropped calls constant with no way to return to my old plan where I could actually use my phone. The reason being? Because Verizon removes your voice LTE feature when you switch to unlimited without ANY warning. I used to work for them and  $309 a month it nor worth the way business has been conducted recently. I’d be willing to bet that a majority of your service complaints stem from the usage of Verizon’s unlimited network.

My service doesn’t fluctuate it drops calls 5-6 times in 20 min drive. That’s not fluctuating. When you have equipment not working that’s not normal. So, when are you fixing your network issues aka towers etc??

Our main goal is to help you improve your network experience so you can enjoy using the service once again. Thank you for for the additional details regarding the dropped calls, LADYTN8056.

First, we need to take a close look at the device and complete some troubleshooting. This will demonstrate whether the issue is with the phone or network. Then we use the data we collect through troubleshooting to notify the engineers of any network concerns. What is the zip code where you experience the most issues (route info)? Can you verify if you have HD calling enabled?http://spr.ly/6580DNNSu

Please power off your iPhone X and remove your SIM card for 2 minutes, then reinsert the SIM tray. Once the tray is properly seated in the device power the phone back on. Let us know if there is any improvement with the dropped calls. http://spr.ly/6581DNNSR

No response/reply huh?

Don’t care about my nearly $400 a month that’s peanuts to a company like Verizon

I understand how it is.

I am sorry about a delay in responses. We greatly appreciate that information that you had shared. While the area doesn't seem to have any alerts at the moment, we want to dig and try to figure out what's going on. You mentioned that it's specifically during a drive home. It sounds like this is happening along a stretch of Highway or road? Do you drop calls in precise areas each time?
