Hi. Received FedEx box. Open to find the iPhone 16 pro box inside was empty.
Called Verizon who denied responsibility as they weighed the box when it left the warehouse. Agent said to file a claim with FedEx. FedEx has denied the claim saying the following “Our shipping contract is with the shipper of the package. The shipper has agreed they would not file claims for their shipments. Please contact the shipper for any issues of loss, damage, or delay to your shipment.”
so Verizon says it’s FedEx responsibility. FedEx says Verizon has specifically agreed to not place any claims. I am stuck with a $1399 bill and no phone.
When you buy a product and that product does not arrive, who should be responsible?
It should definitely not be me. What’s worse is Verizon did not even ask if I wanted insurance for theft when I ordered in store
two big companies making the customer foot the bill for THEIR incompetence.
has someone had luck solving this before? Thanks

Hey all. Does anyone have contact in the media? We should point a spotlight on Verizon and their lack of accountability. I have gone in the full circle after 9 hours now. From Lauren and Dee saying the same thing “

and the. Telling me I have to contact FedEx who already denied because of their contract with Verizon. It is really a fraud by Verizon. We can charge you even if we do not deliver to you.
so if you have media contact, they should search this site. I am not the first or last person to be defraud by Verizon

Same thing happened to me today. Upgraded phone to 16 Pro, shipped on Feb 3, supposed to be delivered on Feb 5, but FedEx tracking still had it “in transit.” What is weird is on Feb 7th, while the phone was still in transit I received a text from Verizon with an activation code. Finally got the box from FedEx today, opened it and it was empty, I’m sure someone with access to FedEx packages stole the phone and tried to activate on Friday. I opened a case with Verizon, hoping for a quick resolution. It appears this happens very frequently, and I’m surprised Verizon/FedEx allow this to happen and don’t have a better delivery system in place.

Receceived an empty box, I have the same problem .order number 124097 location code T329101 On March 06, a package was left on my door, which that package needed my signature. nobody was home UPS driver put on his notes ES had signed for it. I have a Ring video in which it shows exactly how the driver look around put something in his machine and just leaves my package. i have tryed to get help on this with Verizon and UPS and none have even taken the time to look at the evidence that i have. I dont think i have to be stuck with this $1312.18 debt for an i phone that i never received. UPS says i cannot do i claime because VErizon has restrictions over that. but verizon says that since i am calling about this package after it was delivered and my phone shows i have a phone line active they cannot do anything about it. How would I have known my package was emprty if not until I received my package? of course my line was active this was an Upgrade not a New line and i have been their customer for 7 years, can someome please help me!

If you don't mind, how was this problem solved? I see threads like this regularly whenever a new generation iPhone releases. If Verizon is telling you to contact the shipper and the shipper says to contact Verizon...?

Hi @nguyenthuy78 , sorry to hear your device was stolen during shipment. If you placed the order online, my notes have a contact number for Internet Order Support: 866-338-7390. I would provide as much evidence as possible indicating the phone was stolen somewhere during the shipping process - if you have Ring camera videos, photographs showing tampering with the box, etc., and file a police report.
