I had exactly the same experience as others ! I went to the Verizon store on Airport Road in Warwick, RI to buy a new charger. I walked out with what I thought was a iPhone upgrade deal to get an iPad for $150.00. I also asked explicitly twice if there were any additional charges, and was told no. Only when I got my bills did I realize that I had been signed up for an additional phone line!. This was NEVER mentioned. The iPad alone is costing $470 and that doesn't include the additional service line and fees. I returned to the young man who sold me the deal and he tried to talk nonsense circles in an attempt to sound like the deal was complex. He was no help and was unable to explain how what he sold me wasn't even close to what I'd be charged.
I feel very misled and I asked him how he can look at himself in the mirror. He knew he deceived me but only cared about his commission. Costs are over $700 in charges. I still simply can't believe no one mentioned this to me throughout process. Verizon should be ashamed. Crushing. What do I do?
