Help! Not Receiving incoming calls

Hi There,

I ported in a number from T mobile to Verizon on Aug 19, 2024. Till today Oct 3, 2024  I still have issues getting incoming calls. When someone calls me they hear "this number is not in service". I have tried to get help from customer care but no one has bern able to help fix my problem. Todays agent disconnected after 15 minutes of wait and dint call back despite providing her the callback number and asking her to call back in case of disconnection.

Someone please help me escalate this isssue. I want my number working asap.

Hi, from what you're describing, your port is stuck in limbo and the problem is on Verizon's end.  This is why incoming calls are going nowhere, because the old carrier handles them while a port is in progress, but if they've released the number, then anyone calling  you will get a "number disconnected" message.  Outbound calls, texts, and data will run through the new carrier.

See this older thread for Verizon's Porting Department contact number (I cannot type the number myself, forum rules):

If you have an eSIM-only phone, particularly if it's an iPhone, make sure you tell the Verizon agent that it's an eSIM phone.  There was an outage affecting eSIM phones a few days ago, so you may need a new eSIM and they may have to manually activate it on their end to get it working.  Good luck and sure hope you get your service up and running soon.
