Horrible 4G Service

I had to upgrade to a 4G phone when my HTC Droid Incredible 2 had a bad charge port (and I couldn't go 2-3 days without a phone).  I had been very happy with my 3G coverage.  No problems.  Unfortunately, after moving over to 4G I've had nothing but issues.  I would say a good 80-85% of the time I have NO data coverage AT ALL (in Louisville, KY).  There is no reason why I should hardly ever have data coverage.  Why am I paying for unlimited data when most of the time I cannot even use it?  I can't even get 3G data on the device.

I wish I never had to upgrade because 4G is a complete joke, IMO.

I have a Motorola Droid Razr.

The 4g LTE will be  blue, showing I have data connectivity.  But then when I go to open up something like FaceBook, YouTube, or another application that requires data it goes to white and I am not able to access anything.  This seems to be happening more and more frequently these last few weeks and I am getting extremely frustrated.

I keep rebooting my phone.  I've turned airplane mode on and off (which I  don't understand why that would "fix" the issue).  None of that seems to work.  Sure, I can connect to my home wireless and it works fine that way, but I'm paying $$$ for data service with Verizon. I've checked the coverage map, and my address is in the dark red "Verizon 4G LTE" area (Access the 4G LTE network within the Coverage Area).

As far as my Mobile network options go, my preferred network mode is set to CDMA/LTE.

Hello Becky0277!  I hate that you are having these problems with your new 4G LTE device!  Are you experiencing these 4G connection problems at one specific location, or everywhere?  Please ensure data & background data are enabled: http://bit.ly/y5Et79  Ensure data roaming is enabled & allowed for all trips as well: http://bit.ly/wt5bpS  and ensure network mode is set to CDMA/LTE: http://bit.ly/ApOlPV  Please let me know how these steps work out for you.  Thanks!
