Hurricane Helene: help needed in North Carolina

Good morning. Due to hurricane Helene, primary fiber optic communication service is down across North Carolina. In previous hurricane situations, Verizon has lifted data requirements for Verizon customers. Several people are posting in local Facebook communities about relying on their cellular service hotspots for emergency communications, but also work and business operations in middle and eastern parts of the state not impacted by the tragic historic flooding in Western NC.
In case this emergency situation had not been registered with Verizon, I wanted to request that Verizon allow unlimited data usage across the full state of North Carolina.

In western North Carolina, hurricane Helene has decimated many mountain communities who are completely cut off from any type of communications services. This includes 911 service and emergency management services, unless they have satellite uplinks. They are waiting on National Guard as the only access in many parts of Western North Carolina is by air.

Thank you for listening to this concern and passing it forward to the people who need to be aware and support the full state of North Carolina

Due to warehouse and server locations in rutherford and surrounding areas especially west or south west, unavailable people for payroll processing and a long list of other reasons. paychecks have been delayed for many people, and their bills are due some may already have been behind.  Is Verizon going to grant some extended grace period or even donate their service for the coming months rebuilding for those in need?  The news isn't honest about how bad it is here.
