I am stuck in SOS mode

I have an IPhone 13 pro Max and I have been going in and out of SOS mode for months now, but I have always been able to just restart my phone and it would go back to cellular service, but now it is just stuck in SOS mode and restarting the phone does nothing for me.

Anyone else have this issue and was it resolved?  Do I need to go into my local Verizon store to get this fixed??

I feel fortunate that I have not had this issue with my iPhone, Fre1919. We are here to lend some assistance in getting this fixed. When did this issue first start happening? What, if anything, changed with your phone before this started? Can you share the nearest cross streets and city where this is happening most frequently?

Like I said this started a few months ago but I have always been able to just restart the phone and get it working again.  Yesterday it happened again and it would stay on the Verizon network for a bit and then go into SOS mode.  I restarted my phone several times yesterday.  Today restarting won't even help it just automatically goes into SOS mode.

Yesterday I was at work near Okeechobee Blvd & Jog Rd. in West Palm Beach, FL when if first started happening.  At home it was doing it near US 441 & Southern Blvd in Royal Palm Beach, FL

Thanks

Thank you for that information. When navigating to Settings>General>About does a pop-up appear after a moment letting you know a new carrier update is available? Is your software up to date?

Lauren that does nothing. I saw this issue on every iOS version from iOS 15 to iOS 16 and every iPhone from iPhone 11 to iPhone 13

So don’t tell me it’s the iPhones or software. This happened when Verizon changed something. How about someone at Verizon reverses the last carrier update or the last firmware update to the modules that send nanometer waves or how about renewing the contract with that cell service providers that allowed Verizon to utilize sprint airwaves etc.

I’ll this keeps happening to mine my hubbys phone and my work phone. Funny thing is all phone are not in the same plan. What is this issue and why is it only at my house. My WiFi works fine but now my phone. Super frustrating. Looking into joining another phone carrier even though I’ve been with Verizon forever. This has happened last year too.
