Ok its getting worse. I can on occasion call my sister and my phone will call a complete stranger. The one of the last techs told us that she may have her phone sending calls somewhere??? Whatever (another excuse for bad service). Well tonight my phone starts to ring and when I answer, it starts to ring as if I called someone....Another stranger answers..we talk about the tornado warning but alas we don't know each other. What is going on with Verizon? Is or has anyone else had this issue. When I spoke with VZW CS last time they told me that I needed to erase all of my contacts and input them again..BTW I have so many contacts its sad. So I did and its still calling the right number but the wrong person....If I hear the "can you hear me now/" commercial I am going to scream.
It sounds like a network issue to me actually. Have you tried dialing *228 + send and press option 2?
OH yeah because I had to drive to walmart to get the two bars to do it which is about 1 and 1/2 miles down the road. Its verizon service. They have had me do so much including changing my number until the last call where they just said that they have "mediocre service in your area." I am trying to decided on sprint or ATT. I had ATT and dropped maybe a handful of calls in 6 years but my sister raved about verizon. I guess the joke was on me because my phones(all 3 of them) have dropped calls so much that I many times give up on conversations. I have had people tell me that I "sound like s***" when I do get in a conversation. Every fix that I have read about in the forums, I have tried. All of the tier 2 people except one female that I spoke with have an attitude because I am upset that my phone doesn't work. Before you ask me a question please look at all of the notes on my account before giving advice that I did with the last CS that I spoke with before. I have been in the service store numerous times because I dropped my Land line about 2 years ago and when you speak to customer service you of course have to call from someone else's phone because they want to check your phone settings. Im sure they hate to see me as much as I hate to waste gas driving to them.
I see you had this problem in 2010. I am having it in 2023 and seems to only happen when I call one family member in particular. Most of the time my call goes through to the person I am dialing but a few times it goes to someone else and from the voice that answers it sounds like it is the same person. I am not misdialing because I am calling from my contact list and also I check the number I called after I have reached someone else to be sure.

Mine just calls people at random all I have to do is go to the people icon or
not and it just dials, and when I do want to call some one either the number is nowhere to
be found or is listed as unknown. When I try to categorize my contacts into favs or groups they either wind up some where
else or just gone. oh and I have trouble hanging up it just won't hang up, either I am more challenged then I thought or something is wrong.
It calls people randomly too. Not as much as before but I put the pattern lock on it so if after I turn it off and it turns itself back on it does not do stuff. I do however notice that it will move screens when it is sitting on a flat surface without being touched. I had it in my clinicals turned off in my bag when all of a sudden we heard someone talking. LOL it was the weather channel we laughed about it. But if I had an unsympathetic teacher I could have gotten an unsatisfactory for having my cell phone on that I TURNED OFF....... SMH.
