My latest bills showed international voice charges made for voice calls made between Verizon Samsung phones using Whatsapp. The customer service representative was very polite and tried hard to resolve the situation but could not. Even stranger, the calls were incoming to the US, but were listed as originating from the US, and the number listed is not known to us. The Verizon representative thought they might be to a Whatsapp controlled number in Spain (Spanish country code). Total cost is looking >$160. Has anybody else run into this?

They may be able to shed light on how this could have occurred or ensure that your device is set up appropriately for international calling.
