I need a way to do that also. I purchased a home phone device (hooks to the verizon network, and you plug in a normal home phone) for my dad. The rep in the store told me there was no contract. I took it home and called to activate, and the tech told me he could not do it without a contract. Took it back to the store, and the original salesman said that the tech did not know what he was talking about and activated the device for me with no contract. Now, trying to disconnect, there is a contract. Impossible to call the store (it rolls over to the main sales line).
Bottom line - salesman in store lied.
