I just received an email from [email address removed per the Verizon Terms of Service] to notify me of an outage in my area. Since it reads e-crime mail, I assumed it to be fraud until I noticed my account number referenced at the bottom. Does Verizon really use this domain to reach out to customers? Is it a reverse psychology attempt or just oversight? I have blocked this domain until I hear otherwise. Verizon please confirm this is from you.

An email titled "e-crime email" claiming to be from Verizon doesn't sound legitimate to me. The email address you listed was removed, but if it is coming from some odd-looking domain, then that's a definite tipoff that this is a con artist looking to rip you off. If the account number shown at the bottom really is yours and you aren't having any service problems, I would at least change the password you use to login to My Verizon.
I'm not a Verizon employee, just another customer trying to help.
